The attractive countryside around Fjaltring is best experienced by bicycle or on foot. For golf enthusiasts, the region is home to a number of good courses, including clubs at Holstebro, Struer and Lemvig. Fjaltring is also known as the home of the Tuskaer Cultural Centre, which is based in a well-preserved old duneland farm and houses exciting temporary exhibitions. The attractive old village church dates back to 1100's and is located just a few metres from the North Sea. Fifteen kilometres to the north, "Vejlby Summerpark" is a amusement park offering moto-cross, horse riding, mini golf, a petting zoo and many other sights and activities (summer only).Just a few kilometres north of Fjaltring, the 26 metre-high Bovbjerg Lighthouse is the highest point in the region, and towers above the steep cliffs. In Ferring, six kilometres to the north, the Jens Sndergaard Museum is dramatically located on a cliff top. It was here that the renowned Danish artist worked on his famous depictions of the sea on both calm and stormy days.
