Cottage "Lnborggaard" - modern luxury in historical surroundings This exceptional property not only provides the height of luxury living, but also boasts a colourful history dating back to the 14th century. Throughout the Middle Ages the prop-erty was in the hands of the Bishops of Ribe and was known as Lnborg Bispegaard, or Bishop's Manor. In 1536, after the reformation, it became he property of the Danish Crown and remained so until 1650. Various owners then held court in Lnborggaard, which, with its enormous land possessions, became one of West Jutland's largest estates, with around 1,300 tenant farms. In 1994, Denmark's Forestry and Nature Agency took over the running of the estate, and a large portion of the land is now part of the Skjern River nature project, which is divert-ing the course of the river. In 2007, a total interior and exterior renovation of the property's 100 metre-long wings took place, meaning that Lnborggaard now fills all needs when it comes to luxury living. The renovations were carried out in a sensitive manner, meaning many reminders of the building's historic past have been preserved.
